We are pleased to announce the release of our new online PM Study Guide for PMP^® and CAPM^® Certifications based on the PMBOK^® Guide, 6th Ed. The guide is a concise and to-the-point study resource that complements our ITTO Explorer, Exam Simulator, Flashcards, and Quizzes to help you achieve the certification in the shortest time possible.

Recently we added four small enhancements to the exam simulator module of our application as part of version 11.3. This post is a quick walkthrough of those enhancements.

Resource Leveling and Resource Smoothing are two resource optimization techniques used in the Develop Schedule process, as defined in Process Groups: A Practice Guide. PMP^® and CAPM^® certification aspirants often get confused between these terms. While Resource Leveling is explained quite well in the Guide, Resource Smoothing isn’t. In fact, Resource Smoothing doesn’t find a mention in most project management references. In this post, we’ll learn about the difference between the two with the help of examples and illustrations.
